When a man and a young woman boarded an Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle to San Francisco, flight attendant Shelia Frederick became concerned.
The girl dressed less than the man and did not want to make eye contact with anyone. Shelia couldn’t stop thinking about that girl as she worked on the plane. Finally, he came up with a fantastic and bold idea. Courage saved this boy from a terrible situation.
Shelia couldn’t help but make eye contact with the girl as she delivered food to the plane. She told her colleagues about her fears, and they tried to distract the man, while Shelia tried to distract the girl.
“He finally looked up and his eyes were sad,” Shelia said. He came up with a fantastic plan to put a piece of paper and a pencil in one of the plane’s bathrooms and open the door just for the girl.
While her colleague distracted the man, Shelia flushed the toilet before copying the ticket. Then he waited until the girl understood.
Fortunately, the girl found an excuse to go to the bathroom. The man stood next to her outside the bathroom, but Shelia insisted on staying and watching him.
Shelia explained, “I left a note in one of the bathrooms. “I need help,” she captioned the post.
Shelia notified the pilot, who worked with ground control to take the man to authorities upon landing.
The brave flight attendant explains her whole story in the video below. Shelia kept in touch with the young woman she rescued from human trafficking, and the two spoke on the phone for several years. According to Western Magazine, the young woman even goes to college. Shelia advises others: “If you see something, report it.”
