The original poster (OP) explains that he has three children, one of whom is in college, leaving behind him, his wife, a 16-year-old son, and an 11-year-old daughter.
He explained that although he is proud of his children, he feels that his son did something very wrong. One night, OP’s son had friends over and they were upstairs at OP’s house when OP came upstairs to deliver the delivered pizza to them and overheard an unpleasant conversation. .
What did OP’s son do? When OP entered the room where her son and his friend were talking, he overheard his son’s friend talking about how he owed him for a task he completed. When I listened closely, the OP was horrifying. OP found out that her son asked a girl in his class out on a date.
She dared to ask the girl out because her friends thought she was someone they didn’t think was attractive enough or someone they could date. Although upset, OP waited until her son’s friend had left before confronting him. OP admitted that she spoke up to her son for a while because she was so upset, but she explained:
