‘Pawn Stars’ Corey Harrison Arrested in Las Vegas for Alleged DUI

Corey Harrison, widely recognized as Big Hoss from the popular History Channel show Pawn Stars, was recently arrested in Las Vegas for an alleged DUI. The arrest took place late at night after law enforcement noticed his white Ford F250 pickup swerving on the road, prompting officers to pull him over.

According to the police report, obtained by Entertainment Weekly, the arresting officer noted that Harrison’s eyes appeared bloodshot and that a strong smell of alcohol was coming from inside the vehicle. Harrison had flown into Las Vegas from Minnesota earlier that day for filming Pawn Stars Do America. When asked to perform a field sobriety test, he reportedly failed.

TMZ, which first broke the news, reported that Harrison agreed to take a breathalyzer test. However, the device malfunctioned, preventing an accurate reading. As a result, his blood was drawn for further testing. The results of the blood test have not been released, but Harrison was booked on charges of alleged DUI.

In a statement to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Harrison said he plans to hire an attorney to contest the charges. He shared, “I’m not going to say, ‘(Screw) Metro! Drinking and driving should be legal!’ I’m not trying to be that guy. But I’m the guy who, when I get punched in the face, I am going to fight back.”

Harrison further explained that he had consumed only one drink during his flight to Vegas, about seven hours before being stopped, and had not had any alcohol since then. He attributed his performance during the sobriety test to several factors, including an infected shin that affected his balance, uneven paver stones where he was stopped, and the distraction caused by some officers leaving for an emergency call.

As a prominent figure at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, Harrison has been an integral part of Pawn Stars since the show first aired in 2009. Despite this recent incident, he remains resolute in defending himself against the DUI charges.
