Ozzy Osbourne Opens Up About Health Challenges and Tour Cancellation”

First time in five years, the Black Sabbath singer was scheduled to appear at Power Trip.

Ozzy Osbourne has long placed his music career first, but right now he must put his health and well-being first.

The Black Sabbath vocalist has struggled with health issues lately, including Parkinson’s disease diagnosis and numerous surgeries following a serious accident.

Despite having previously stated his resolve to keep doing what he loves most—performing on stage—he gave fans hoping to see him at the Power Trip Festival, a rock concert extravaganza organized by Coachella founders Goldenvoice and featuring legendary rock bands like Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and others, a difficult update on Monday.

Ozzy stated on Monday, July 10, that he had to make the “painful” decision to withdraw from his presence even though the festival is scheduled for October 6–8.

He announced his decision to cancel his appearance on Power Trip in an Instagram post, saying, “As painful as this is.”.

He continued, “When the offer to perform in this show came in, I optimistically moved forward.
My initial goal was to make a comeback to the stage in the summer of 2024. ”.

He continued, “Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I simply am not ready yet, and I am far too proud to have the first show that I perform in almost five years be subpar. ”.

He promised fans that “the band that will be replacing me on Power Trip will be announced shortly” and added, “They are personal friends of mine, and I can promise that you will not be let down. ”.

I love you all, and I’ll see you soon,” he concluded, before saying, “Above all, I want to thank my fans, my band, and my crew for their unwavering loyalty and ongoing support. ”.
