When talking about her postpartum struggles on daytime television, Robert De Niro’s girlfriend Tiffany Chen found comfort in their newborn child, Gia Virginia.
The baby, who was born in April, was seen cooing with her mother while being held by CBS Mornings host Gayle King, who was wearing a frilly dress.
The actress, 45, spoke with the veteran actor for the first time since giving birth to her daughter.
She shared with Gayle that after giving birth, she was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy and lost all facial movement. She had a strong message for expectant mothers: “Women should not feel hurt by it. ”.
She described how it appeared as though everything was about to collapse in on itself. “My face appeared to be melting in on itself. After giving birth, everything fell apart a week later. ”.

Tiffany, a fitness instructor and martial arts enthusiast, openly discussed her wonderful relationship with Robert and how he helped her through her health issues.
He attempted to claim that he didn’t notice a difference or a change, she said. He replied, “No… You appear fine. ’”.
“And I was like, ‘Really?’ My face has completely collapsed in on itself. He was strong and encouraging, though. ”.
She was immediately readmitted to the hospital, where her lower lip had drooped to the point where it was difficult for her to speak, after reporting the acute pain she had experienced after giving birth via C-section and the sagging of her face.
It eventually reached the point where it was simply hanging, and Tiffany would have to support it. “And to speak, I’d have to hold my chin and manipulate my lower lip to produce particular sounds. “I couldn’t even say ‘Bob. ’”.
I couldn’t give her kisses. That made it harder.
I felt uneasy because of that.
”.
The only time vanity enters the picture is when a parent worries that their child will be teased for having an odd-looking mother. It is the kid’s response. ”.
The Oscar winner, who is also the father of Drena (51), Raphael (46), the twins Julian and Aaron (27), Elliot (24), and Helen (11) also claimed that she was embracing motherhood and that having a daughter “made life more fun.”.
