Ronan Keating’s Heartfelt Tribute to His Departed Brother as Family Attends Funeral

Boyzone and The One Show singers provided entertainment throughout the service.

Ronan Keating has paid tribute to his older brother Ciaran Keating after the tragic death of Ciaran Keating in a car accident last week.

After suffering injuries in a terrible car crash in Ireland at the age of 57, the Boyzone singer’s sibling passed away. Rumors suggested that Ciaran and his wife, Annemarie, were traveling together so they could watch their 28-year-old son, Ruair, play football for Cork City FC.

Thursday’s memorial service for Ciaran was held at St. Louisburgh, County Mayo, church named St. Patrick’s. This Is Your Song, which was originally written for Ronan’s mother Marie, who passed away from cancer in 1998, was performed as a tribute to his brother by Ronan, according to the MailOnline. He reportedly said to the bereaved, “I shouldn’t be singing it in these circumstances, but we are and we shall. ”.

The host of The One Show, Ronan, 46, was one of the pallbearers who carried his brother’s casket into the church prior to the service. Public figures, likely friends, family members, and Cork City FC players, came in close succession. Ronan’s wife Storm comforted him once they were inside.

On his way to his son’s football game, father-of-three Ciaran was killed in a collision in Swinford, County Mayo. To receive non-life-threatening medical care, his wife Annemarie was transported to Mayo University Hospital. On-site medical care was also provided to the driver of the other vehicle that was involved in the collision.

Shortly after the tragic news was made public, Cork City FC uploaded a memorial to Ciaran online. The death of Ciaran Keating, the father of our player Ruair Keating, “deeply saddens everyone at Cork City FC,” the statement read.

We send Ruair and the entire Keating family our heartfelt condolences during this terribly trying time. Be in peace, my friend. We respectfully request that the family’s privacy be observed during this difficult time. ”.

Some of Ronan’s close friends and coworkers also sent condolences to Ciaran online. Boyzone bandmate Keith Duffy wrote on social media that he “couldn’t comprehend the loss and destruction experienced by my brother @rokeating and the entire Keating family. My entire family is currently praying for and thinking of the Keatings. ”.

Keith continued by talking about how helpful the bandmate’s older brother was in the beginning and his own experiences with him. He wrote on Instagram, “Ciaran, you toured with us from the beginning, you were a great guide on our early journey.”. “You young, innocent children helped and supported us. Friend, take a seat by Mam Marie in paradise. ”.

During the service, a visibly upset Ronan is reported to have said, “Your strength over the past few days has been incredible, and you’ve done your dad very proud. ”.
