Walter Carr, a young man from Birmingham, Alabama, recently made headlines for the right reasons.
Bellhop’s Moving, a moving company with offices in Pelham, recently hired Walter. On his first trip to his new job, the young man, however, had a terrible experience. He had to walk 20 miles to get to Bellhops because his car broke down the previous night.
He made the decision to walk the entire 20 miles in order to get to Bellhops in time for his first day of work. Beginning to feel incredibly exhausted, Walter. He chose to unwind, so he sat down.
When the local police arrived, they inquired as to the young man’s reason for sitting by the road. When he told the police about the incident, they were both shocked and impressed by his determination to get to work on time.
Luke Markland, the CEO of Bellhop’s Moving, was waiting to welcome Walter when he arrived at his destination. Luke believed Walter would take better care of his car than he would, so he gave Walter his car as a gift.
Luke was pleasantly surprised by Walter’s dedication to starting his new job on time. He was also grateful that Walter didn’t give up on them, didn’t back down, and showed them what true values were.
Walter takes pleasure in what he does, and over time, he developed some notoriety. Even the clients Bellhop’s transfer assistance for to a new site were happy with Walter’s assistance.
