Denzel Washington recently admitted in an interview that he turned down a significant role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that could have earned him more than $30 million. Washington asserted that he did not find it appealing to play a significant character whose hidden homosexuality will eventually come to light.
Despite Marvel’s denials that Thanos or Groot were the characters given to Washington, fans have speculated that it might have been one of them because Washington didn’t elaborate on the persona he was given.
Given the wide range of characters that Marvel represents, it is challenging to identify the particular superhero he was asked to portray. Some fans have even suggested that Black Widow and Agent Carter might be in a romantic relationship.
Washington has been candid about his reluctance to contribute to stories he deems to be “woke.”. He believes that using his acting abilities in films with a chance of winning awards, such as “Remember the Titans,” is a better use of his talents.
Washington has been awarded 11 Black Oscars, but she has chosen not to accept them. Instead, his refrigerator’s top is adorned with a prominent display of his three customary Oscars.
