A heartfelt conversation between the management and the head custodian was published by Georgia’s Unity Grove Elementary School. The two-minute video shows how well-liked the man is within the organization.
At the beginning of the video, a woman approaches a car in the school parking lot and hands a man some keys. She informs the surprised man, “You still have that.”. Your funds are still with you.
It’s yours, baby,” the woman says gleefully as she walks up to the man and stands next to him. Another woman adds, “$1500.”. The guy asks, “$1500?” without even moving an inch.
Working alongside the male head custodian of the school is a female member of the administration. He is told that the school collaborated to raise money for the vehicle.
The women congratulate him and say, “We love you, Chris,” as he turns to face the heavens and raises his arms in victory. After the startling event has passed and he still has the car keys firmly in his fingers, he exclaims, “There is a God, thank you!”.
The administration and the community came together to help one of their own in his hour of need. Chris had been walking to work every day while he saved money for a car.
The much-loved custodian was unaware of the school’s assistance. As we approach, I’m thinking, “Oh, this is a nice car,” says Chris, who observes that it was a funny turn of events. It merely illustrates how uniquely the Lord blesses each of his children.
