In a recent interview with Billboard, Cher clarified that her festive tunes, much like Mariah Carey’s, aren’t strictly traditional Christmas songs but universally enjoyable tracks.
Post-parade, Cher was captured by entertainment photographer Elder Ordonez leaving her hotel in New York City. The clip shared on Instagram showed Cher in an all-black ensemble with matching boots, assisted by a bodyguard as she headed to a waiting car. Ordonez’s post attracted comments speculating about Cher’s walking difficulty, with some attributing it to her footwear and others making age-related remarks. Nevertheless, many of Cher’s supporters defended her, highlighting her age and questioning critics about their own capabilities at 77.
Cher has addressed aging on social media previously, candidly discussing her confusion about when she’ll start feeling old and expressing frustration with numbers due to her dyslexia. In a tweet, she questioned the significance of age: “Ok, will someone PLEASE tell me… When will I feel OLD? This is ridiculous. I keep hearing these numbers, but I honestly can’t understand them. WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH #s? I’m dyslexic, and #s are hard for me.”
In a September interview on Good Morning Britain, Cher reflected on aging, admitting that the reality of growing older hadn’t fully sunk in yet. She humorously mentioned her plans to continue rocking jeans and maintaining her long hair, crediting good genetics for her youthful appearance.
