Scroll on to find out more…
Who doesn’t know Katy Perry?
Since making her debut in 2004, the pop sensation has become a household name in the music industry.
She has hits a-plenty.
Her many anthems have since become the pinnacle of club music, with ‘Firework’ and ‘Roar’ making any night out a triumph!
And she is very well known for her interesting style.
While she can definitely belt out a tune, Perry is also known for her likable personality and her interesting fashion choices.
Remember this?
All you have to do is Google Perry at the MET Gala and you’ll find yourself looking at some of the most mind-blowing outfits ever designed.
Perry is also friends with many celebrities.
No A-lister party or awards ceremony is complete without a Perry appearance …
She’s also made a name for herself as one of America’s most beloved judges.
Bringing her distinct style and flavor to our screens on American Idol!
Perry is also part of one of the internet’s favorite power couples.
She and Orlando Bloom share a little girl called Daisy.
Over time, Perry has opened up about the realities of being a mom…
But her recent admission left some people on the internet feeling rather confused!
“Well she’s hardly going to be mistaken for me, is she? Ridiculous, she should be happy anyone recognizes her, I wouldn’t know her if I fell over her,” joked one person.
“All these celebrities are malfunctioning and we have to deal with their dramas all the time,” added another.
Because Perry has claimed she’s always being mistaken for… Katy Perry!
“We do a lot of mommy-and-me classes,” she told The Cut.
“This morning, I was with her at a ballet class, and this woman goes, ‘Oh my god, you look so much like Katy Perry.’
“And I was like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you. I care about my kid and take her to classes,’” Perry joked.
“And do these moms ever realize what’s happening?
‘”People do recognize me, but by the time they’re like, ‘Is that …? Was that …?’ I’m already gone,” she said.
The pair have also opened up to Ellen about who their daughter, Daisy Dove, actually looks like.
DeGeneres mentioned that Katy had sent her a photo of Daisy and thought they looked alike—especially in the eyes.
“It was funny because when she first came out, I was like, ‘Oh, it’s me! It’s a mini-me’. And then, fortunately, she got those Katy blues, which was perfect.
“But then she sort of looks like my mom,” Bloom said.
“So then I got a little confused because Katy’s breastfeeding this mini-me slash my mom…who’s she gonna look like next?” he added.

Perry also opened up about Christmas with a toddler.
“She’s just coming alive,” Perry told Access Hollywood at the 2022 American Music Awards.
“This is her third Christmas and she’s super into it.
“I need to order my Elf on the Shelf now,” she said.
“I can’t do 25 days on my first Elf on the Shelf guys, you know what I’m talking about,” Perry joked.
“It’s a journey, I’ll do 15 days, maybe 10.”
And Perry has also opened up about a recent move.
She and Orlando Bloom recently went cross country from Hollywood to Kentucky!
She opened up Chelsea Handler’s Dear Chelsea podcast.
She told Handler: “I’m living, like, in Kentucky and I have for almost a month now and that’s quite an amazing experience.
“Because it reminds you that Hollywood is not America.
“And you need to remember that because you can then understand people better.”
It seemed Handler agreed with Perry’s thesis.
Saying it’s “nice to go outside of what you know to be normal and your reality.”
Perry then said her family’s “bubble” in Kentucky is “completely opposite” of Hollywood.
Handler then drew an interesting comparison.
“You’ve been in different bubbles, because you grew up in a bubble,” the podcast host pointed out.
“You grew up super religious and that’s one bubble. Then you came into this industry, that’s another bubble. Right?”
Perry agreed and said: “It’s an anthropology study of humans.”
But recently, Perry has hit headlines for a rather less positive reason.
Viewers of American Idol accused Perry of bullying a contestant!
One viewer wrote: “I really do not like how Katy Perry just treated Sara Beth on #AmericanIdol I don’t watch this show at all and my tv was already on the channel but what I witnessed was not right. They let Katy Perry bully this woman on live national tv before she even started singing. So ugly.”
Another wrote:: “Boo to Katy Perry for mom shaming Sara Beth. Insinuating that she has been “laying on the table too much” to have 3 kids by age 25. A young mother following a dream while raising her children should be raised up not put down. #AmericanIdol.”
Perry was slammed for telling the 25-year-old mom Sara Beth: “That’s not enough.”
“Show us what your voice can do. Take it to the limit. No looking back. Sing it like it’s your new dream,” she continued.
She also compared her to “a comic strip character just came to life.”
Sara Beth took to TikTok to call out the center judge out for the “hurtful” remark, saying: “Katy Perry made a joke that wasn’t super-kind. … It was embarrassing to have that on TV. … I think that mom-shaming is super-lame.”
Soon after, Sara Beth quit the show!
However, she has claimed Perry’s jokes had nothing to do with it.
“This opportunity is really rad, but this is actually going to be my last performance, because my heart’s at home. So, I’m going get home to my babies. They kind of need me,” she said, according to Yahoo.
Perry also tried to convince Sara Beth to stay in the competition.
“I know that life is scary. I also know that it’s easier to walk away than to be rejected. But, then, I also know that you lose out on your fullest potential,” Perry told her. “And I know that you love your family, for your kids. I know that as a mother, but remember self-love is just as big as motherly love. Don’t leave the competition.”
