The majority of wild animals are fascinating creatures, and while we can only appreciate their beauty from a safe distance, the chance to get closer to them is unreal.
The well-known Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center staff members work at an animal sanctuary outside of Colorado Springs where they are frequently around wolves. Most importantly, kids play with them, pet them, and even cuddle up to them.
One of the wolves raised in the refuge and given the Hawaiian name Kekoa, which means “brave one.”.
Kekoa is a friendly giant who loves interacting with people, especially a woman by the name of Danielle, despite his size.
The unique bond between them fascinates a lot of people.
Particularly given that Kekoa is significantly larger than Danielle, it’s odd to watch them interact and cuddle. When his front paws are on someone’s shoulders, he weighs 115 pounds and is almost 7 feet tall!
A third wolf, Sakara, stops by and asks for a cuddle in the viral video of two friends having fun.
“He was raised by people and was bottle-fed starting at birth, so he is very well socialized, which means he enjoys being around people.
This does not mean that they are tame or domesticated.
He still acts like a “wild” animal around his sister because of this. This is not how a wolf would act in the wild.
”.
In order to inform visitors about wolves’ place in the ecosystem, the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center offers educational tours. They hold numerous events, including Halw-O-Ween, Meet a Wolf Day, and Paw Day.
Since the 1940s, no wild wolves have been spotted in Colorado, but they might show up again soon.
