All of that changed, though, when they chose to travel 800 miles to surprise the grandparents. First to notice the surprise, the grandmother is left standing in the middle of the restaurant in a state of shock.
Next to be harmed is the grandfather. In an amusing turn of events, he makes the “What are you doing here?” grimace when he first sees his daughter. But his expression modifies as he lowers his head.
