Curtis emphasized that sobriety has been the key to her freedom and the ability to be truly herself. “I look in the mirror. I see myself. I accept myself. And I move on because you know what? The world is filled with things we need to do,” she shared passionately. Breaking the cycle of addiction that has plagued generations in her family has become her mission.
Tragically, Curtis experienced the devastating loss of her brother Nicholas, who tragically passed away from a heroin overdose at the age of 21. Her father, the renowned actor Tony Curtis, also battled with alcohol and drug abuse.
“Getting sober remains my single greatest accomplishment,” Curtis declared with unyielding determination. She views it as more significant than her marriage, her children, or any level of professional success. Her bold journey towards sobriety deserves all our admiration and support.
