Malia Obama: A Rising Screenwriter Making Her Mark

Malia Obama was just 10 years old when her father, Barack Obama, became the 44th President of the United States. Being the first child of a sitting U.S. president brought him many challenges and opportunities. Now, at 24, Maria has a successful career as a screenwriter.

Over the years, Maria has blossomed both intellectually and stylistically: she has come a long way from the shy girl who clung to her father’s hands and wore dresses and ribbons. Today, she goes by pump with confidence in the mats of the waist, and embodies her characteristic fold and random style, even if she has no effort.

Maria was recently spotted in public in New York accompanied by her rumoured partner David Eklund. While Dawit camouflaged himself in an oversized denim shirt and baggy white pants, Maria kept cool and collected beneath dark glasses as they strolled the busy streets.

As she enters a new phase of her life, Malia seems content and confident: her sister Sasha has begun studying at the University of Southern California, and Malia herself has landed a job as a screenwriter at Amazon on a Donald Glover project.

After a few months, Sasha joined Malia in Los Angeles and the two sisters now reside together in Brentwood, near Sasha’s college campus. It’s clear that Malia paved the way for her younger sister’s journey to the West Coast.

Barack and Michelle Obama couldn’t be prouder of their remarkable daughters. Earlier this year, on Malia’s 24th birthday, Michelle penned a heartfelt tribute that gave us a glimpse into Malia’s character. Barack also took to Instagram to celebrate his oldest daughter, sharing an adorable baby picture along with a touching message reaffirming his unwavering support.

No matter how much time passes or what paths Malia chooses, she will always be her parents’ precious daughter. With her talent, drive, and remarkable spirit, Malia Obama continues to make her mark on the world.
