The couple’s 9-year-old son, Noah, has been through a lot since he was diagnosed with liver cancer at the age of 3. After learning of the tragedy, the artist promoted his ninth studio album, Nobody But Me, just before appearing on BBC One’s The One.
“Three minutes before I started work, I got a text from his wife saying something was wrong,” he told Britain’s Evening Standard in July 2018, adding: “I have no choice but to die.”
Thankfully, Noah is now in remission, but Bublé described the ordeal as “the worst thing that could happen to me as a parent and probably as a human being.”
“I’d rather it be me. “I wish it were like this,” said the musician, adding that the incident had strengthened their bond as a family and given them a new perspective on life.
On Noah’s 8th birthday, Bublé wrote a touching message on Instagram: “Today my hero turns 8.” I’ve never met someone so brave… I’ve never met someone so kind and generous… and how proud I am of you, and my mother and I can never explain how much I love you.
