In order to address her “biggest insecurity,” Danielle Cabral is blogging about her experience having a tummy tuck. ”.
The 37-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star shared a video on Instagram on Sunday of her last appointment with her plastic surgeon.
She said in the video, which was filmed on June 13, that despite being in “the best shape of my life,” she has been frustrated and self-conscious about the extra skin she has had since giving birth to her two children.
She said in the video while displaying her stomach, “No matter what I do, I just can’t lose it. I don’t want to cover all of this; I just want to wear the cute crop tops and a bathing suit.
”.
I used to be a D2 basketball player who was in excellent physical condition.
sickly condition.
My stomach was completely destroyed after two very traumatic c-sections, she wrote in the caption. Stretch marks were manageable for me, but the extra skin was agonizing. My children would remark, “Mommy, your stomach is wrinkled.”. “Oh my god, kill me now!”.
Despite being “tortured” by her appearance for years, Cabral claimed she “hid it well” while filming RHONJ. She admitted that she was “envious of my friends filming in their cute belly baring dresses” and expressed relief that the reality show was never shot on a beach. ”.
She continued, “I work my tail off at crossfit every day at 6am (I’m a literal beast), but there was nothing to fix it. “I have used every service that the medi spa has attempted to provide for me. Dot and nothing. I’m in the best shape of my life, yet I continue to conceal myself. ”
Cabral sought the services of Dr. John Paul Tutela for her tummy tuck; he was the same plastic surgeon who had already enhanced her breasts and altered her nose.
The Mayo Clinic describes a tummy tuck, also known as an abdominoplasty, as a cosmetic surgical procedure to enhance the shape and appearance of the abdomen. The procedure involves removing excess skin and fat from the abdomen, usually tightening the fascia, and repositioning the remaining skin to give the abdomen a more toned appearance. The goal of Cabral’s blog, she said, is to normalize tummy tucks, even for people who others might assume “don’t need it.”. ”.
After first seeing the results, the mother of two admitted that she “cried a little,” and she promised to keep her social media followers informed of her progress.
“I hope this makes this procedure more commonplace. You need not be overweight to experience this. You are not alone, said Cabral. The entire post-operative healing process is something I’m currently documenting, and I can’t wait to share it with you. ”.
