A traditional lemonade stand is fun for everyone.
Nothing compares to bumping into a young child on a sunny day who is eager to sell you a cup of ice-cold lemonade.
Landen, a young boy selling lemonade and cookies near his home, was recently approached by a police officer. The boy’s grandmother taped their conversation and uploaded it to Facebook.
Officer Perez of the Connecticut Ansonia Police Department approached Landen and inquired as to what he intended to do with the money he would make from selling lemonade.
He was informed by Landen that he needed blue sneakers for class.
Officer Perez finished his conversation with them and walked away.
A short time later, Officer Perez was back at the 7-year-old’s lemonade stand, this time bringing Landen something: a pair of blue sneakers.
Landen was overjoyed, and that is an understatement.
Officer Perez, according to Wendelyn Narvaez, “made my baby’s day yesterday, and not only that, but he made him feel like a king.”. “.
A few days later, Narvaez uploaded a picture of Landen grinning widely in his brand-new sneakers.
Wayne Williams, the chief of police in Ansonia, responded to Perez’s act of kindness by saying that Perez’s kind of officers “are the types of officers that we are all looking to hire. “.
The opposite is also true. Positive police officer behavior is rarely reported, but negative police behavior is. Such careful thought went into this deed.
