But it’s not just celebrities choosing whacky names for their kids…
As one couple from from the UK have chosen a name so unique, it was almost banned.
They were met with looks of ‘utter disgust’ when they revealed his name.
And were told that her son ”would never be able to get a job, and that teachers wouldn’t want to teach him.”
What’s the name you ask?
The couple wanted to name their child Lucifer.
The devil’s name, Lucifer, was first seen in the King James Bible, in 1611. But in more modern versions of the Bible, he is referred to as Satan. – The name is illegal in several countries such as New Zealand.
However, parents Dan and Mandy chose the name for different reasons.
As Lucifer in Greek means ‘light-bringer’ and ‘morning’. They eventually managed to legally go through with the name registering.
“Honestly, we just thought it was a nice name … a unique one.
“We didn’t expect to get so much grief about it.” Dan explained.
What do you think about the name?
