Usually, we send cards to our friends or treat them to a delicious treat when we want to make them feel special. But Julia Roberts went above and beyond when she stood by her Ticket to Paradise co-star George Clooney at the Kennedy Center Honors earlier this month.
The Ocean’s Eleven actress was one of the winners of the prestigious award, and to honor her illustrious companion, Roberts wore a dress with pictures of his face on it. We now know Clooney’s response.
Us Weekly claims that when Roberts took the stage, Clooney was surprised and exclaimed, “Wow!”.
Every image of the Gravity actor was framed in gold and was printed all over the costume. The photos were taken from Clooney’s red carpet appearances, his appearances on ER, and other appearances. Roberts jokingly asked, “What is this old thing? Can you tell I’m here for Gladys Knight?” as she entered the stage.
And if you’re wondering where Roberts got such a unique outfit, we can’t buy one for ourselves; Jeremy Scott, the innovative designer at Moschino, and Elizabeth Stewart styled it.
Roberts added a subtle finishing touch to the look by layering a black cropped jacket over the gown and accessorizing with Chopard jewelry.
Thanks to a picture Serge Normant posted to Stewart’s Instagram account, we also got a glimpse of the dress’s back.
The stylist’s ironic caption for the image was “juliaframedgeorge.”.
Thanks to @jeremyscott, @elizabethstewart1, and @moschino for creating her dream dress, Roberts wrote on Instagram, “My gown playing favorites! George, I’m so happy to watch you receiving this highest accolade @kennedycenter [tv emoji] on December 28.”. “.
If a picture is truly worth a thousand words, then we are at a loss for words to express how much we adore each and every image of Julia’s dress.
